   I’ve been using supplements from NuUNutrition for over a year, mostly buying direct. I’m near the end of a tub of Vitamin D 1000iu so needed replacing and decided to upgrade to 4000iu. They are easy to swallow and there’s no aftertaste.Vitamin D is said to help keep colds at bay and at this time of year I up my intake. I haven’t had a cold this year, even when being around other sniffling people so maybe I’m just lucky or the vitamin D is doing the job. I take these in conjunction with other vitamins so it’s probably more of a combination than just D on its own. My anti-cold favourites are C, D and zinc in high doses. 4000iu is a nice dose.

   For some time now, recognising the importance of adequate levels of vitamin D3for one’s general health – [and given the lack of sunlight in Northern Britain] – I havebeen taking a daily dose in supplemental form.4000iu daily, I reckon, is about right for me, enough to be therapeutic, but not enough to risk overdosing – [important to take K2 as well, of course].I like to take mine in the morning – [in line with the circadian rhythm of sun rising.However, I also fast during the day, eating only in the evening, and so, with D3 being fat soluble, a key point is that this supplement comes in capsule form with sunflower seed oil, for effective absorption.These capsules are VERY affordable – good value for money – and the proprietors of the firm come across to me as very sincere, so that it is highly likely that one can beconfident in their quality control.

   I take 2 of these each morning along with K2. This is a nice size dose of D3. Forget the recommended daily allowance of 400 IU, that will do nothing to raise your D3 levels. I get tested every 8 months so know that a high dose is what raises your levels if you are not getting good body coverage of sunshine.

   I have been taking this product for several years now as I’m largely bed bound and so rarely get to experience the outside world. Blood tests taken before I started using it showed my vitamin D level was 8, it should be 80 or over. After taking this brand the next set of tests showed a level of 88, so I know they work. Personally I decided to take a stronger strength daily, thus my choosing these, but multiple family members now take the 1000UI strength. One thing that we have all noticed since we started taking them (& actually the reason 3 family members started taking them) was that we haven’t had any coughs or colds. That is despite other family members suffering some rotten ones & in previous years we would have ended up with them too. One family member has COPD and suffered multiple chest infections throughout the year, requiring antibiotics & steroid therapy. In the 4-5 months since starting the 1000UI daily, he hasn’t had one. Occasionally when bugs are doing the rounds I might have an evening when I get that ‘pre-cold’ feeling, but that’s it & nothing more materialises.Obviously vitamin D is about way more than preventing colds & deficiency can cause some very wide ranging & debilitating symptoms. It is now recommended that everyone in the UK should take a supplement at least in the winter, if not all year round. If my sun worshiping, golden brown mum can suffer vitamin D deficiency anyone can. Even her doctor said she couldn’t believe she was about to tell her she was deficient.Why this brand….? I use it, my family use it & it works for us!! The company themselves have a fantastic range of top quality products, all with a money back guarantee & they provide excellent customer service. Not satisfied with the quality of their products they continue to develop & improve on them to make them even better.

   Hi i have been taking vitamin D3 for few years now ,i started taking it for bone health and arthritis along with viamin K2,its has definitley eased my arthritis and my new hip joint feel easier as well,i have found out through research that its good for quite a number of things too,like breathing problems and cancer this is a lot higher dose than i was taking before but had no side effects at all ,good product will buy again

   I have tried numerous forms of vitamin D3 with some success but, if taken in fairly high doses, many have caused constipation. I recently tried Nu U’s vitamin D3 Ultra Strength 4,000IU and have found these to promote vitality and well being In addition to being gentle on the stomach. I throughly recommend this product, especially in the winter months when sunshine ( needed by the body to convert to vitamin D3) is at a premium.

   bought these D3 soft gels for my mum for Christmas. They were OK for 3 months and suddenly started to smell like rotten fish! Absolutely disgusting smell – impossible to even try to consume (not that we attempted). Not sure what was the reason: either those soft gels can’t last for longer than 3 months (which would be very strange providing it’s a whole year supply) or I was just sent an old bottle. Oddly – there’s no expiration date on the bottle (if it was on the box I can’t tell now – the box is probably gone)! So that might be it …Will be asking for a refund as I need to buy another D3 to accompany them with K2 (consumption of which now is also postponed)Update: 05/04/2019.Seller has handled the problem in most professional way and even more: they not only refunded but also sent me another bottle of vitamin D3 (with EXP date of BBE 02/21). So as for the seller – 5 stars easily!As for product – still don’t know how/if it works – need to do test to see levels of vitamin D3 in the blood.I wish there were separate ratings for product, for seller, for delivery etc …But for now I leave 4 starts (as an average of sellers 5 and products neutral).

   I have taken both the 1000IU and 3000IU tablets for a few years now, each year increasing the dosage and Nu U Nutrition recently bought out these higher strength 4000IU ones, they are exactly the same as the other two in terms of size (See included photo) just a higher dosage so you will reap the benefits more, but with these ones i recommend you take K2 vitamin supplements too, as (In simple terms) Vitamin K2 helps Vitamin D get the the places of your body it needs to be, so they work extremely well together!They are very small and very easy to take, even for someone like me who struggles to take tablets (See included photo for size reference)I take these because as a lot of you brits will know, sunshine here in the UK is very rare haha, so it is recommended to take vitamin D tablets just to keep it topped up so you don’t get a deficiency.These tablets have also helped with my muscle gain, I’ve noticed they gotten bigger within the year I’ve been taking them, not drastically, but enough that I’ve noticed and it’s definitely the tablets as nothing else has changed in my lifestyle in the past few years.Vitamin D supplements are known to relieve symptoms of the cold and help fight it off, and also improve cardiovascular health (Heart health)10/10 Highly recommendedIf you’ve found this review informative/helpful please mark it as such, i would really appreciate it if you did and I’m happy to have helped you.Thank you – Brandon

    The softgels are small and easy to take. Being 4000 iu they are strong enough to boost immunity and prevent infections. They are made in the UK, reasonably priced, and from every sale Nu-U donate to a childrens hospice. Delivery was prompt. So glad I found this product.
