Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel brings targeted local relief for pain and swelling (inflammation) in muscles, back and neck. In addition, the gel relieves pain in joints, sprains, strains and bruises, as well as minor sports injuries.
Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) called diclofenac which targets pain at its source. The Emulgel technology helps the gel to penetrate deeply into the skin to enhance delivery of diclofenac to the point of pain. The gel works by blocking production of some of the body’s chemicals that cause swelling (inflammation), pain and tenderness.

Still using it occasionally though tend to use a stick-on heat pad instead for longer lasting pain relief during the day.
