Fantastic product! This was recommended to me by so many people and it has absolutely delivered on my high expectations.Along with a clear digital display, I love the colour aspect to it. So even if you are quite far from the thermometer you can get an idea of the rooms temperature. It has a nice glow which isn’t too bright (which is perfect as my partner can’t sleep with any lights on). It comes with a long wire so perfect for moving around the room. Would be nice if it was wireless but still amazing as it is.Soft matte finish and very accurate (we tested it!)Would recommend for any nursery/ or any other room!

Pros: Good product. Does what it’s supposed to do, the temperature reads pretty instantly when it’s powered up or if there’s any changes.Cons: it’s not really bright enough to be a night and the temperature can be difficult to see in poor lighting unless you’re quite close… which is probably why they bought out the new model. For some reason I was desperate for a room thermometer so everything would be perfect for the little one. Realistically, I only used this for about a week then moved it while I was cleaning and it’s sat on a shelf, not being used, ever since. It would probably have been used more in our old house which was older and suffered more extreme temperatures, but this house seems to keep the temperature fairly consistent. And I just trust my instincts with baby.

Easy to check what temperature baby’s room is at, glows bright when too cold/hot. Was a real help during a cold winter with a newborn.Accurate temperature display is colour coded so you can see at a glance if room is the recommended temperature range.Only improvement I would make is a more durable screen as ours cracked when falling a short distance onto laminate flooring. Also a longer power cable would help to keep it safer from tiny inquisitive hands.

I am impressed with the gro egg however I had expected it to be slightly bigger from the images. I hadn’t looked at the size measurements and for the price it is quite small. That said it seems great quality and looks really nice in the room especially with Percy penguin on the top. I got it for a really great price, I’m still not sure I’d purchase another (due with another baby) for the full price as our baby monitor does show the room temperature. I feel it is quite an expensive item that is not overly essential.

Used this when we brought our newborn home from the hospital, the first night it was showing our room was too hot. We did everything to try to bring the temperature down but the display never changed and I’m convinced it’s faulty! We use the temperature gauge on our video monitor now which seems to give a more accurate reading. As I first time Mum I was anxious to have everything we needed but now I realise that we would’ve known if the room was too hot/cold and the temperature gauge probably isn’t necessary!

Don’t buy this unless you have another method of checking the temperature. Our Gro egg was always a bit sketchy, we never believed what it was telling us because common sense was always telling us otherwise. Tested it against a thermocouple multimeter and it was off by more than 3 degrees. A child safety item should never go out of the factory in this state (never mind what other reviewers have said about the company being helpful). Returned.

I wanted one of these for my toddler but thought “oh it’s too expensive”…. ummm how wrong was I! I admittedly got it in the sale recently for my newborn, but it is brilliant! The glow is very soft and warm, the temperature is very easy to read both day & night as it has digital temperature as well as background colours for too cold, just right and too hot.The cable you get to plug it in is plenty long enough to keep it out of reach of little hands, and it’s actually really small so easy to pop anywhere in the room. I thought it was huge when I looked online!I’d definitely buy full price, I had a well known brand alternative (okay, I went through about 3 actually) that all worked in the bath as well as in rooms with my eldest daughter, and they were absolutely rubbish and didn’t even last until she was 6 months old. Totally recommend the gro egg!

I’ve used 2 of this in 2 separate bedrooms. It was always suspicious it is not accurate as so many times the rooms were cooler than it said. One day I decided to test it, and yeah! I took both to the same bedroom and they showed 2 different tempratures. Then, I took them down to the kitchen, and they did exactly the same thing. So they actually landed in the bin. I say… DO NOT trust these and no matter how old are they, DO NOT put them in their bedrooms. I bought it when my son had his first seizure and it never measured the right temprature….

The egg looks good and is a nice size, so is quite easy to find a home for, but its been on for a few hours, and os displaying a temperature of 3-4° and doesnt seem to be getting higher, we currently have 3 thermometers in the room all showing around 20°… the light seems like it is relatively bright in our house, giving it till the morning to get a similar reading to the others and if it doesnt itll be going back, because it becomes relatively useless if we cant use it for the sole reason we bought it

Bought this to ensure that our bedroom is a safe temperature for our newborn son and to ensure that he is appropriately dressed. It’s a great reassurance as as an adult you don’t really pay attention to the exact temperature of a room.We have been using it for over a month now and we have started to become aware of the temperature ourselves and now use it more as confirmation. It seems to be accurate and has only shown the incorrect temperate a couple of times – easy to tell as the room was obviously cool but it was displaying red and an unhappy face. This was corrected by turning it off and on again. It’s also a great night light and is bright enough to check on my son but not so bright that it keeps you awake.
